Our Vision :
Welcome to English Language Learning
I am excited to get to know you and your child as we begin our school year! As I learn about your family, I would like to share a little bit about me. I grew up in Evanston and I have lived in this area for 14 years. When I am not teaching, I enjoy decorating, reading, and watching movies. Family is very important to me and I love spending time with my husband and two daughters.
I have been working for Big Hollow School District for 17 years! I am excited to be teaching English Language Learners again this year. I have 20 years of teaching experience at different grade levels. I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from National-Louis University and my master’s degree from Concordia University in Curriculum and Instruction. Then I went back to school for my English as a Second Language certificate at the Adult Learning Resource Center.
I am also involved in this community. At Big Hollow I am a member of the Reading & Writing committee and help the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). You might even see me volunteering at one of the school functions and fundraisers. I also teach English to adults at College of Lake County.
A strong parent-teacher relationship is important for a successful school year. Please contact me with any questions or concerns by e-mail, phone, or a note. I’m looking forward to a great year working with your child!
Thanks for visiting!
